A drawing made, I think in May 1941, of the Cregneas Type 2 CHL radar PPI display.  Of interest are the large 'permanent echoes' from the Mountains of Mourne, Lake District and Snowdonia mountains.  Also the quite large area in the centre that is unusable, possibly from cathode ray tube burnout.  The display is overlaid with a coastline outline and also the reporting grid.  Click image for a comparison with the much later Ronaldsway radar.
